Labour Threatens to Close Tol and Airport Access

Workers who are members of the Jakarta Labor Forum threatened to protest at the City Hall building , Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan , for three consecutive days until Friday ( 8/11 ) future . In addition , the threat to close access to motorway and airport workers also asked if the provincial minimum wage ( UMP ) in 2014 amounted to Rp 2,441 which has been set is not changed .
Jakarta Labor Forum Secretary General , M Toha said , workers will conduct demonstrations for three days in front of City Hall . " If nothing changes , we have to notify the City Police , will hold demonstrations through Friday , " said Toha , in front of City Hall, Jakarta , Wednesday ( 6/11 ) .


Even by Toha , on the last day will be staged massive . In fact it is possible to close the highway access and Soekarno Hatta Airport . " We will come up with a greater mass . Did not rule also access toll roads will be closed , either to the airport , the port , and so on . Entire access road we take out , " he said .
Toha recognized , until now it has not seen wages in 2014 , which was signed by the Governor of DKI Jakarta , Joko Widodo . Nevertheless , he remains disappointed with the determination . " Although to date the governor has not shown any sign of wages in hand , we keep demanding action be changed , " he said .
By Toha , wages in 2014 were conducted by the Wage Council on 31 October, it was decided unilaterally . Because the meeting labor element is not present . So the only stipulation was attended by government representatives and businessmen elements alone .
Until now , workers still held a demonstration at City Hall . A total of 930 police personnel have been deployed to secure the action . In addition , four water cannon vehicles and four baracuda also alerted .
