Hackers Attack Websites Police and Reserve Bank of Australia

ABC tried to access the AFP website , www.afp.gov.au , Thursday ( 11/21/2013 ) at 12:00 pm Melbourne time , but can not open . But the RBA website at www.rba.gov.au not seem to have problems .

Neither AFP nor the RBA expressed their website was under attack on Wednesday ( 20/11/2013 ) night , but they ensure that no sensitive information was successfully obtained by the hackers .

The attacks come amid a worsening diplomatic relations following the disclosure of the wiretap act by Australia against Indonesian officials .

According to the AFP Chief Tony Negus Komosioner , it immediately investigate the attack . " We had an attack on open source website . There was an attempt to attack the website this morning but we 've handled , " he said .

He added , " I do not know who did it but we certainly investigate " .

ABC spokesman told AFP earlier said , the police take seriously any hacker attack . " All information on the website is fully open AFP . No sensitive information , " the police said .

Reserve Bank of Australia also confirmed the website had an attack Thursday ( 11/21/2013 ) at around 2 am in Australia . " Probably our website will be slow for some users , " a spokesman for the RBA .

He made sure their website protection device is activated and the banking system remains safe .
