Investment in Financial Markets Still Small

Financial Services Authority stated in public investment in Indonesia's financial market is still small . Nonetheless , the industry is giving space to grow very large .
Deputy Commissioner of Capital Market Supervisory II Financial Services Authority ( FSA ) Noor Rachman said , the current number of mutual fund investors in Indonesia reached 300,000 . The capital market investors reach 370,000 .
This amount , according to him , is still very small compared to the population of Indonesia is almost broke the 250 million people .
" Currently we are still investing quite small , but it is a very large room for capital market development , " said Noor in launching PT Maybank GMT Asset Management in Jakarta , Thursday ( 11/07/2013 ) .
Further , he admitted that he welcomed the launch of PT Maybank GMT Asset Management which was recently acquired by Maybank . He hopes to launch an asset management company that can provide fresh air for the Indonesian capital market .
" We would like to welcome Maybank in the Indonesian capital market . This is expected to further stimulate the Indonesian capital market , " said Noor .
Influx through PT Maybank Maybank GMT Asset Management , he added , is expected to bring a positive influence on the industry . He hopes the company can bring technology and science for the betterment of the Indonesian capital market .
