 Uruguay national team drew 0-0 with Jordan in the second leg play - off 2014 World Cup Brazil , in the Centenario Stadium , Montevideo , Wednesday ( 20/11/2013 ) . With that result , Uruguay insure themselves performing at the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil , considering they won the first leg 5-0 .

With certainty , participants 2014 World Cup finals was even 32 teams , namely :

UEFA : Spain , Germany , Switzerland , Belgium , Netherlands , Italy , England , Russia , Portugal , Greece , Croatia , France , Bosnia - Herzegovina

Conmebol : Argentina , Colombia , Uruguay , Brazil , Chile , Ecuador

CONCACAF : United States , Mexico , Costa Rica , Honduras

CAF : Nigeria , Ivory Coast , Cameroon , Ghana , Algeria

AFC : Japan , Australia , South Korea , Iran

The 32 teams will be divided into four pots based on FIFA rankings . From each pot will be drawn through a lottery team to go in a group at the 2014 World Cup finals , which will be carried out in Bahia , Brazil , December 6, 2013 .

The drawing group participants also consider the confederate states . State derived from the same confederation will not meet in the group stage , except for the European zone ( UEFA ) .
